SERIOUSLY SUMPTUOUS SYMPHONY

This model, first opus in a one-of-a-kind five-piece series, brings together métiers d’art and the most melodious complication ever. It’s not just a watch, it’s a pure work of art!

Telling time under cover. Although today omnipresent light makes this exercise easy, in the past, triggering a chime on demand was the only way of keeping track of time. Since then, the melodious complication has featured in exceptional watches like Parmigiani‘s new creation. The Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse is unique in more ways than one.

Forget about conventions! There’s no dial, no hands inside the 42 mm-diameter white gold case decorated with Doric columns which Michel Parmigiani loves so much. The face of the Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse comes to life through métiers d’art talents. Delicate guilloché intertwines a pine cone with spirals. The resulting geometric graphical composition encircles a fine central engraving. Everything is enhanced with translucent pastel-green Grand Feu enameling.

On the caseback, two capital letters, a M and a H, displaying the hours and minutes, hover over a Guatemalan jade disc adorned with spherical dots. The existence of cathedral-type gongs inside the manual-winding movement means this display can be secretly tucked away. The minute repeater is triggered on demand using a pusher set in the case middle, and chimes the hours, quarters and minutes. To enjoy these melodies, this masterpiece can be place on a Risoud spruce wood resonator box that adds depth and richness to every note played over the course of the 72-hour power reserve delivered by the caliber. When fine watchmaking mingles with high-fidelity.
